HungerZero is proud to be a referral partner agent of Good Sheperd to provide No Interest Loans (NILs) and Family & Domestic Violence No Interest Loans (FDV NILs) for people who are on Centerlink payment and women who are affected by family and domestic violence. 

No Interest Loans (NILs)

is a micro loan which you may borrow up to $1,500 for essential goods and services including:

  • household items (fridge, TV, washing machine and more),

  • furniture,

  • education essentials,

  • laptops and devices,

  • car repairs,

  • medical and dental expenses

Repayments are set at an affordable amount over 12 to 18 months.

Eligibility:

  • Health Care Card / Pension Car holder who earn less than $45,000 a year after tax ($60,000 for couples for people with dependants)

  • You can demonstrate that you have the capacity to repay the loan

Family & Domestic Violence No Interest Loans (FDV NILs)

is a micro loan offers to lend no interest loans of up to $2,000 to women who has experienced or are experiencing family or domestic violence. This loan is designed to help women to be safe at home, move to safety, ore rebuild your life up to 10 years after.

The loans are government funded, with no fees, charges or interest to pay.

The loan is for:

  • Bond and rent (licensed real estate agent only, not private landlord)

  • Legal costs

  • Security items

  • Removalist and transport costs

  • Car registration and repairs

  • Furniture and whitegoods

  • Utilities eg.electricity, gas, water, phone, internet

  • Technology eg.laptop, phone

  • Medical and dental

  • Education and training costs

  • Employment tools/equipment

  • Pet costs

Repayments are set at fortnightly or monthly, over 24 months, via direct debit or Centrepay.

Eligibility:

  • A woman who has experienced family or domestic violence in the past 10 years aged 18 years old and older

  • Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a visa that expires beyond the loan term

  • Have a source of income that enables you to repay the loan
